When you plan an outdoor wedding styled shoot, the very last thing you want to see is an amber severe weather warning for heavy rain and 80 mph wind, but unfortunately that’s what we got! We had to improvise and move the ceremony part of the shoot to the workshops at our shoot location, The Cornish Cutting Garden.
Our models were couple, Chloe and Sam, a real couple who are set to tie the knot in a matter of weeks. A real couple meant we could capture genuine moments of love and affection. Neither had modelled before, but did an amazing job and never once complained about being asked to stand for hours posing in the pouring rain!
Our phenomenally talented photographer, Joanne Clement from Enchanted Brides, has a way of capturing both story and beauty in its raw state. Jo embraced a deluge of Cornish wind and rain to provide us with wonderfully atmospheric, love and laughter filled images!
The Cornish Cutting Garden gave us a wonderful setting for our shoot. With both wild and nurtured spaces, horticulturalist and florist, Clare Webb, tends and grows all the foliage and flowers used in their wedding displays and arrangements.
The large wooden archway was given an organic and romantic feel, and created the centrepiece for the shoot. Adorned by Clare from The Cornish Cutting Garden with beautiful foliage, herbs, moss, and in-season florals, the arch had glorious colour and texture. Aged tin cans filled with bright spring blooms, willow balls, potted plants and an abundance of chalkboards gave the ceremony a budget friendly, stripped back look.
The beautiful stationary, embellished with sparkling glitter gold detail added a sense of luxury to the occasion. Honey, the superstar four legged ring barer, giant balloon and 1930s bicycle provided us with the opportunity to capture some playful moments and stolen kisses between our bride and groom. The traditional lemonade stand, festooned with pastel bunting, complimented the spring colours of the flowers and added to the sense of celebration.
