On the edge of pretty village of Ponsanooth, just a few short miles from the south Cornish coast lies the wonderful 17th Century Cosawes Barton. A fairly new venue to the Cornish wedding scene, it offers not only 5* accommodation but also extensive woodlands, meadow, marquee lawn and formal flower gardens.
The very lovely Sophie and her beau, Joe, came to us while planning the outdoor space for their wedding. Their wedding very much embraced the natural beauty of its surroundings. They chose to marry under Cosawes bespoke arbour, at the end of a long natural aisle, flanked by a woodland grove.
Their Absolute Canvas marquee was nestled amongst the trees leaving a large lawn space to the front. Plenty of space to be filled with mingling guests, and our famous games!
Sophie chose a wide selection of our fun and games, including our Fairground Peep Board, lawn games and coconut shy, to keep guests entertained. For those wishing to bask in the late summer sun, Sophie chose a selection of our deckchairs, and our much loved bundle of knit blankets to lay over hay bales.
One of the most romantic venues in Cornwall, Polhawn Fort stands in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Rame Peninsula.
Jenny and Rich’s elegant summer wedding took full advantage of all this stunning place has to offer.
We first started chatting with Jenny about her wedding back in Summer 2015. She had so many fantastic ideas for hers and Rich’s day and it was an absolute pleasure working all the little details through with her.
The couple were married in a local church, before inviting guests to their cliff top fortress for a fun filled, foodie reception.
The couple chose to set up a rustic drinks station for their guests to enjoy self-serving their own summer drinks. Drinks jars for cocktails, tin baths as ice buckets, create an on-trend look.
Outdoor seating continued the rustic vibe with hay bales encircling a fire pit. Jenny chose to top the bales with our hessian sacks for a little extra comfort for guests.
Our Seaside Peep Board, fete and lawn games were set up on Polhawn’s lower terrace. They went down a storm with young and old alike, and created plenty of laughter.
A DIY photobooth was created in an arched doorway. Jenny hung our gold frame and used our fancy dress suitcase for guests to snap some memorable photos!
Dancing the night away to live music rounded off the incredible day, our illuminated BAR sign adding to the atmosphere of the evenings festivities.
The marriage of Anna and Jonathan took place at the picture perfect St Clement Church near Truro. The couple hosted their reception at Scorrier House, a beautiful country house which offers couples exclusive use for weddings.
Anna’s vision was one of elegance and sophistication with some vintage touches running throughout the styling. We worked with Anna for many months, exchanging emails about all the fine details until everything was just perfect!
Following the church service, guests were invited to meander through the historic gardens of Scorrier House, guided by our traditional signage, to the drinks reception. Our Rustic Bar awaited them laid out with bubbly and canapés, whilst our Gramophone prop sat upon our Writing Desk (cleverly concealing speakers creating the illusion!).
Garden games were enjoyed before guests headed inside for the wedding breakfast and dancing! Our illuminated BAR sign looked at home behind Scorrier House’s purpose built bar area, and created a fun vibe for the evenings festivities.
